Pacate: Plot to oust Digong

THIS is not fun, not funny either. Is President Digong starting to see a headless swordsman in his dream? Where did he get that idea that Trillanes, the Liberal Party and the communists will topple his government by October?

When Digong was still on the campaign trail before his election as president, he was biting the bullets, charging like Don Quixote, and feeling like Hercules in front of political giants. He used to say, “P_tang _na.” You better leave my country or I’ll shoot you!” and now, he believes that Trillanes is playing cute.

To date, Trillanes is like a boy scout doing a camping. He has no Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police at his back.

President Digong is the commander-in-chief of the AFP and he has “butterfly politicians and fairies” surrounding him. We do not know of any oracle who told him that he will be ousted in October.

Is Trillanes a real threat? He has been maligned bitterly in the media.

The president calls him incompetent. He is tagged simply as a “barking dog.” In the formal art of argumentation and debate, it is perceived that Trillanes could be easily eclipsed by the Tulfo brothers and Senator Gordon. He has no winning moments. What is left to him are his confused supporters who love to see him fighting back with words.

Why should President Digong be afraid of the ‘yellows’? They belong to the minority party. Those perceived as belonging to the LP hardcore in the province have now imagined themselves to be in the Duterte camp. Many are afraid to be branded as “drug protectors.” The LPs who are still standing are glued to their pride only... but that pride could be dangerous also.

The “reds” are always there just like the LPs. The reds simply want to change the present government to a kind of government that would suit their view. The “reds” started with HUKBALAHAP and now we have NPA, CPP, and NDF functioning like layers in the cake.

President Digong mentioned also the threat of the politburo. Many are confused. This politburo refers to the former committee of the Russian Communist Party for fixing policy between sessions of the Central Committee. It was replaced in 1952 by a presidium politburo, the policy-forming body and executive committee of a Communist party.

Does President Digong believe that there is some kind of a “Pinoy Politburo” existing in our government? This should be researched by our Political Science students. The president is accusing all his shadow enemies to be performing a drama. He said that he is willing to step down because he is old and tired... and probably sick.

Mr. President, many Filipinos voted for you. If you think you want to rest, please rest. We will respect you for that. At least, it is your choice.
