CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Four kabalens out of 86 delegates brought honor to the Philippines in the 2018 Asean Skills Competition in Bangkok, Thailand, last August 31 to September 2.

Governor Lilia Pineda, during a courtesy call, personally commended Marvin Madla, who won the IT Network System Administration Medallion of Excellence, and Anthony Cabigayan, winner of the IT Software Solutions for Business Medallion of Excellence. Both are students of St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology.

Ramon Bautista from the same school bagged the silver medal for the Graphics Design Technology category and became the best among the Philippine delegates. The school was also represented by Jaykhelyn O. Nucum for Mechanical Engineering Cadd category.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) OIC Provincial Director Jenica D. Dunglao praised the students for their effort in bringing pride to Pampanga.

She said they also competed in various levels of competition since 2017.

“Before going international, they competed in the provincial, regional, zonal, and national level and reigned supreme,” she said.

Dunglao also hopes to strengthen the partnership between Tesda and the Provincial Government especially in supporting the students not only locally but also internationally.

Also joining them in their courtesy call was St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology Administrator Arnold Navarro. (PR)
