THE Cagayan de Oro City Water District (COWD) announces no pressure to no water in nine barangays in Cagayan de Oro from September 17 to October 1, 2018.
This, as the COWD still repairs its pump impeller shaft which was earlier damaged. The COWD said, it will take a week for the delivery of the said material from Manila and another week for its installation.
This repair will cause water service interruption to residents living in barangays Lumbia, Upper Carmen, Kauswagan, Bonbon, Bayabas, Patag, Bulua, Iponan, and Opol.
COWD spokesperson Ladelle Sagrado said the impeller shaft was worn out as it is works 24/7.
The damage is beyond repair so it needs a replacement.
The COWD is asking for patience as they repair the pump to avoid longer water interruption.
"The repair duration indicated herein may be shortened and normal supply restored earlier than scheduled if a local service provider can handle shaft straight alignment," the COWD said.
"Please be assured all efforts will be taken to restore normal water supply the soonest possible time," it added.
