HOW do you like your tea? With a generous spread of tasty delights is surely the way to go. And with what Cebu has to offer, there’s no shortage of options. Pulling out all the stops, we’ve rounded up some choices where you can have tea in the afternoon—or anytime of the day really—with a fancy twist to it. You’re welcome!

“Signature Afternoon High Tea”

Dilmah T-Bar, Radisson Blu Cebu

Providing both experience and education, indulge in sweets and savories while learning the benefits of drinking tea at Radisson Blu Cebu’s Dilmah T-Bar. It was launched in March 2015 in line with Radisson’s former general manager’s vision to introduce and educate to the locals all there is to know about tea. Since its opening, it’s been host to a slew of art exhibits and workshops. Choose from over 20 selections of tea with the treats and have them served right at the T-Bar located at the lobby. It’s available from 2 to 5 p.m.

“Quest Afternoon Bites”

Pusô Bistro & Bar, Quest Hotel and Conference Center - Cebu

Launched on February this year, choose from its three themed afternoon tea selections: Filipino, Western and Asian; all of which contain a balanced mix of sweet and savoury bites. Each come with a choice of coffee or tea for two, but one can also go for chilled juices. Guests can also choose to mix and match from each theme to enjoy all three themes in one setup. These are available from 2 to 5 p.m. Have it served at the restaurant or in one’s room.

“Afternoon Tea”

Marisse Patisserie

Marisse Patisserie, with its afternoon tea, promises a unique experience all packaged in a picturesque setting. Launched in June this year, this is available from 2 to 5 p.m. for a minimum of 10 guests. Guests can choose from its two menu selections. Together with the sweet and savory bites and assortment of English teas, guests will be swept up with a charming table setup complete with the use of beautiful English tea pots and tea cups—and yes—even party hats are included. Advance booking of at least 24 hours is encouraged.

“Filipino High Tea”

Café Laguna

Enjoy well-loved Filipino merienda dishes in a three-tiered setup anytime of the day. This offering is available in all of its four branches in Cebu City including those located in Dumaguete, Ormoc, Davao, Cagayan de Oro and General Santos. Served with a pot of hot pandan tea, enjoy Filipino favorites like bibingka, putong puti with adobo flakes, espasol and turon.

“Chocolate High Tea”

Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa

This is part of the resort’s recent launch of The Land of Chocolate, a signature journey in collaboration with The Chocolate Chamber founded by Raquel Choa, known as “Chocolate Queen of Cebu,” together with Auro Chocolate, a bean-to-bar company founded by Kelly Go and Mark Ocampo. Enjoy a presentation of lusciously sweet and savory selections complemented with fresh fruits while indulging in premium tea or sikwate anytime of the day with a view of the beach and resort grounds.
