THE Sharks and the Tigers will meet in the finals of the Elite Basketball Club Cebu Season 12 after convincing semifinal victories last Sunday night at the Visayan Glass Basketball Gym.
The Sharks defeated the Bulldogs, 89-78, with a balanced scoring.
Five players hit double figures - Niño Belande scored 19, Paul Salarda chipped in 17, Prince Malana had 15, Ashley Villardar contributed 11 and Bryan Reyes added 10.
Armando de Jesus had a game high of 31 points for the Bulldogs, while Robert Codilla added 18.
The Tigers, on the other hand, outclassed the Cheetahs, 104-92.
Jefford Aldave poured in 36 points to lead the Tigers. Chris Obeso had 17, Dharryl Balabas added 16 and Jojie Bas scored 10.
Jose Acha had a huge night with 42 points but it wasn’t enough to win it for the Cheetahs, which missed the services of former MVP Mark Panerio. Robinson Mohammad scored 18, while Jestoni Santos added 13.
The championship game is scheduled this Sunday night. (EKA)
