Dolores school students get gifts from QI Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Some 70 pupils of Dolores Elementary School in this capital city were given a day of fun as members of Quota International of Pampanga presented gifts to them as well as utensils for their everyday use.

President Vilma Dungo led Quota members in presenting the gifts to School Principal Edgar Yutuc. The donations included 70 kiddie chairs, six tables along with plates and glasses for the pupils. The gifts were donated by past President Germinia Villanueva.

Quota International, founded in 1919, is an international service organization that links members of all ages, occupations, and nationalities in a worldwide network of service and friendship. The organization found its way into Pampanga in the early 90s, experiencing modest membership from local women.

Quota International of Pampanga is active in programs for disadvantaged children, bringing donations for the Special Education (Sped) class of Pampanga High School, among others. Quotarians are known especially for their service to the deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired individuals and poor women and children.

Quota members share the values of serving and encouraging others, developing friendships, and promoting international understanding.
