CEBUANA triathlete Nicole Marie del Rosario capped off her Batang Pinoy National Championship stint with an impressive four gold medals in Baguio City yesterday.
It was a fitting finale for the University of San Carlos-Basic Education (USC-Bed) Del Rosario, who is competing for the last time in the 15-Under event conducted by the Philippine Sports Commission.
Del Rosario, 15, topped the girls’ 15-Under Individual time trial yesterday to add to her medal collection this year. She won her first gold medal in the criterium race two days ago and also won in cycling mass start and duathlon.
“It was a continuous training program for me before coming here. I’m very happy that all the hard work in training had paid off with these medals,” said the 15-year-old Del Rosario of Talisay Luigi Triathlon Group. RSC
