Civil service lauds San Fernando for partnership

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Civil Service Commission Region (CSC)-Central Luzon recently recognized the City of San Fernando headed by Mayor Edwin Santiago for outstanding work performance in government service and its contributions to the agency’s advocacies, projects and programs.

During the honor awards program 2018 at The Orchid Gardens here, the CSC-3 recognized Santiago as one of its top partner individuals in the whole of Central Luzon.

“We recognize the support and contribution of Mayor Edwin Santiago to the success of our programs, projects and advocacies of our agency,” the CSC said.

Also lauded were Division School Superintendent Dr. Imelda Macaspac and Fe Pampanga High School Principal Rosalinda Caylao.

The CSC Regional Pagasa Award was also conferred to groups and individuals, with “outstanding contribution/s resulting from an idea or performance that directly benefits more than one department of the government,” CSC stated.

For the group category, one of the recipients is the city’s Early Childhood Care and Development or ECCD-Division Child Development Teachers and Supervisors Circle, headed by City Social Welfare and Development Office Project Development Officer-OIC by Aileen Villanueva and City Day Care Worker Alicia Dungca.

“This award is an affirmation that our ECCD management traverses a right track. We are inspired to do more for our children, and we are also inspired to do more because Mayor ‘EdSa’ has exceptional leadership that guides us,” expressed Villanueva.

For his part, Santiago expressed that it has always been a collective duty between the city government and the CSC to have a harmonious relationship.

“A partner could be compared to a colleague, a better half or the other pair so to speak. The word has many meanings but between San Fernando and the CSC, a partner is one who helps work for the benefit of the whole community,” said Santiago.
