Judge, staff arrive home from Bangkok court visit

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Judicial Service team of the Regional Trail Court (RTC), Branch 42- Special Commercial Court here, arrived last January 23 from a successful court visit abroad.

The RTC team visited the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court (CIPITC) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Branch 42 is the designated Court to hear cases involving violation of Intellectual Property rights in the entire province of Pampanga.

The members of the delegations were Judge Maria Amifaith S. Fider-Reyes, Lawyer Rowena S. Cunanan, Angelina C. Layug, Gloriosa S. Tamayo, Narisa D. Cruz, Angie S. Angat, Madelaine G. Santos-Sicat and the special Participation of student Nikki D. Cruz.

The delegation was warmly received by the CIPITC Chief Justice Maitree Sutaoakul, deputy chief justice Pataporn Chakarangkoon and secretary to the Court Judge Jayin Sunthornsingkarn.

The delegation was allowed to observe the court proceedings in the CIPITC and tour the buildings in the newly opened Government Complex that will also be the seat of the Supreme Court of Thailand come April 2010.
