AS OWNDAYS opened its first branch in Mindanao particularly at Abreeza Ayala Malls last September 14, 2018, it brings to Dabawenyos the liberty to choose over a selection of over 1,500 fashion eyeglasses and sunglasses.

The selections are not only a variety of frame shapes and colors but they are obviously designed to be chic to make the make wearer stand out and not be left out of the latest fashion trend.

Owndays manufactures a wide variety of high quality frames suited for any lifestyle –- basic and functional to stylish and fashionable -– all in one piece. All the eyeglasses displayed in the shops are original brands that have been designed and manufactured by Owndays.

With the many designs that the customers can choose from, Owndays encourages them to buy not just one pair but more in order to pair up with their outfit every day. This way, wearing eyeglasses will not only be functional but as well as fashionable.

“Because of the huge selection people can’t just buy one or two frames, they can buy more than that. Most of the time, people buy one spectacle and wear it for the whole year or two years but we’re trying to promote the fact that wearing glasses is like a fashion accessory," said Vohne Yao, director of Lucerne, the brand that brought Owndays to the Philippines.

She added, "You change your shoes everyday, you change your clothes everyday, why not change your glasses everyday to match what you’re wearing? And in Owndays, we have this special promotion where when you buy one, you can get the second pair at 25 percent off, so really encouraging you to have more than one pair of eyeglasses,”

Owndays is one of the largest optical chains in Japan and had been known for its all-in-one pricing system and quick 20-minute processing time. In the Philippines, it has over 30 stores nationwide with the Abreeza branch as the latest addition.

“Davao is one of the most important cities in the Philippines. It has a big market. It’s developed and it’s perfect time for Owndays to come in and open. Owndays is a Japanese brand that offers quick service, good value for your money with the high-end lenses and good doctors. I think the market really needs it. We’ve heard a lot from our Davao friends. Some of our Davao friends come to Manila and shop at Owndays there and we’ve started to hear, how come you don’t open in Davao. Now is the right time to do it,” Yao said.

In traditional optical stores, the price will vary depending on the frame and lenses that costumers choose. At Owndays, the prices are inclusive of the frame, ultra-thin multi-coated lenses and eye exam with no additional charge regardless of the high grade. Their prices range from P1,990 to P6,990.

The frames and lenses are also covered by their one-year limited warranty and lifetime maintenance service. Aside from that, licensed optometrists also facilitate the eye exams with their state-of-the-art refraction equipment. (with PR)
