Drug personality on PNP’s target list nabbed

POLICE arrested a suspected drug pusher during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Domolog, Bindoy town, Negros Oriental, Thursday, September 20.

A police report from Superintendent Kat Ramos of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NORPPO) identified the suspect as Joven Pintac, 55, and a resident of the said area.

Personnel of the Bindoy Police Station, under the direct supervision acting police chief Senior Inspector Sanfred Germudo, served the search warrant against Pintac around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Domolog village.

During the search, the police confiscated from the suspect’s possession two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected crystal meth or “shabu” granules/powder.

Pintac was arrested by virtue of the search warrant issued by Judge Rosario Carriaga of the Regional Trial Court Branch 45 in Bais City, Negros Oriental.

The suspect is now detained pending the filing of formal charges against him for illegal possession of suspected shabu under Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act as amended. (PNA)
