STRUGGLING Global Cebu FC logged its best result in the Copa Paulino Alcantara thus far after a 3-3 draw with Kaya FC-Iloilo last Sunday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.
Global Cebu FC drew first blood with a fifth-minute goal by Joshua Beloya.
Kaya FC-Iloilo, however, equalized in the 24th minute compliments of a goal by Miguel Tanton.
Charlie Beaton put Global Cebu FC up ahead, 2-1, in the 56th minute but Lopez Mendy quickly answered with the equalizer two minutes later.
Jordan Jarvis gave Global Cebu FC the lead again with a 63rd minute goal, before Mendy saved the day for Kaya FC-Iloilo with a 73rd minute goal.
Global Cebu FC is still at the bottom of Group B with a point from a draw and two losses. Kaya FC-Iloilo is still at the top with seven points from two wins and a draw, while JPV Marikina FC is second with a win and a loss.
Global Cebu FC’s next match is against JPV Marikina FC tomorrow night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. (EKA)
