TWENTY-two Negrense scholars graduated Japanese language and culture training conducted by Genki Negros Incorporated Japanese Language and Training Center at The Garden in Bacolod City recently.
The graduates completed their 770 hours of training that started from January 15 to June 30, 2018.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. lauded the graduates for successfully finishing six months of hard work.
He also said that this is a good advantage and an opportunity for them to have a better future whether they will work in Japan or in any country abroad.
“The Japanese language is not easy but because of your determination, you were able to comprehend in such a short period of time,” the governor said.
He also advised the students to possess the ways of the Japanese people and that is to be disciplined, honest, clean, and punctual.
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and opportunities like this don’t come very often,” the governor added.
The graduates include Grace Ann Baquiriza, Cecile Cañada, Edward Celiz, Philip John David, Lenalyn Delapaz, Methany Depalobos, Christine Cyrene Diaresco, Frances Renelyn Dilig, Winielyn Espenorio, Rho Ann Garcia, Ruffa Hilado, Jovelyn Javier, Argelyn Libo-on, Aiza Gladys Millan, April Joy Mondejar, Mary Joy Mondejar, Dorathy Ocampo, Jackie Lou Prado, Luigi Salmingo, Janine Sandoy, Maria Chloe Sebare, and Keith Anne Vitalicio.
Ocampo, Garcia, and Javier recently passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N4 which was conducted in Cebu City and are now processing their documents for their trainee visa.
Negros Occidental Scholarship Program head Karen Dinsay, Yoji Glenn Watanabe, Oisca director Shigemi Watanabe, Genki board of director Agnes Iida, Genki Negros president John Paul Silva also attended the ceremony. (PR)
