201 bullet vests turn over to police stations

NEGROS Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) has turned over 201 bullet vests to 10 police stations in the province Monday, September 24.

Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., Nocppo director, and Superintendent D' Artagnan Katalbas Jr., chief of San Carlos City Police Station, led the turnover rites at the Provincial Police headquarters in Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

Recipients are police stations in San Carlos City, La Carlota City, Kabankalan City, Silay City, Talisay City, Victorias City, Sagay City, Hinigaran, La Castellana, and Murcia.

The vests came from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame.

It will be used for protection especially in police operations.

Castil said the distribution of vests depends on the strength of personnel in each police station.

He said another set of vests will arrive in the province, hopefully soon. (GYM)
