CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City Government of San Fernando recently held a general inspection in ranks among traffic enforcers and city marshals at Heroes Hall here.

Mayor Edwin Santiago, together with Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office (POSCO) Deputy Coordinator Raymond Del Rosario and Traffic Management Division Chief Retired Colonel Danilo Bautista led the event with a goal to achieve the agenda of the city which is “Kapayapaan at Kaayusan ay Makakamtan sa Nagkakaisa at Disiplinadong Mamamayan.”

Del Rosario explained that the activity's objective is “to deliver important policy directions, instructions and guidelines, personally to the peace and order officers” including their general appearance and proper wearing of uniform and ID.

Santiago, in his speech, mentioned that in order to carry out better public service, peace and order officers need to have self-discipline, dedication to work, and respect to each other.

"For any mission or work, it is very important that we work with discipline, respect and above all, dedication. By doing so, we will provide good quality public service that is really the key for all of us to succeed," Santiago said.

Santiago said peace and order officers should also follow the rule of law for them to turn into effective leaders and implementers.

"I'm just like you, an ordinary citizen who obeys laws and principles, because I believe that as a leader, you must learn to obey and listen so that you'll be able to work more efficiently. Serve as an inspiration to everything and start spreading goodness to others," Santiago added.
