THE Davao Occidental Tigers recently conducted a free basketball clinic in the province.
The clinic was a joint initiative of the Davao Occidental Tigers with major sponsors Cocolife and Transcycle.
"More than winning on court, Davao Occidental Tigers really wants to inspire the youth to work for their dreams. It is our way of giving back to the community for the strong support that they have shown us," team owner Claudine Diana Bautista said.
A total of 25 student participants from all four municipalities of Davao Occidental joined the activity.
Tigers head coach Don Dulay, ssistant coaches Rob Wainwright and Arvin Bonleon and the Tigers facilitated the whole day clinic held at the Davao Occidental New ABC Gym in Malita.
Bonleon, in a message, said they taught more on ball handling, skills development and basic fundamentals.
Davao Occidental Tigers is the only team from Davao region to be included in the roster of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
