FOR over four decades, the New Davao Famous Restaurant has been satisfying the palates of Dabawenyos.

"We believe that being a family-style restaurant, what made us survive all these years is that what we offer is not a fad but more of a tradition of having to enjoy 'comfort food' Chinese dishes with friends and family, be it on regular day or a special occasion," Anthony Jason Li, New Davao Famous Restaurant owner, said.
The Chinese restaurant has this welcoming ambiance where when a customer walks in they can be assured of a generous serving of good food at reasonable prices. This dining atmosphere makes the restaurant the go to place of those who love good food and want to satisfy their cravings.
To keep up with the competitive food industry in the city, a new management took over in 2013 and gave the restaurant a facelift.
"From then on, we started to get noticed again as we launched a new and improved New Davao Famous. This effort put us back into the map as we tried to adapt to the changing times," Li said, adding that they have improved the restaurant to give it a cozier and a more pleasurable dining experience to their customers.
Despite having a refreshed brand and look, the restaurant still maintains the quality of their dishes.
"By word of mouth, this has allowed us to attract new loyal customers who in turn, started making new memories and traditions of their dining experience with us," Li said.
As it moves forward, the restaurant is committed to give their best in maintaining the same level of quality in both taste and value for money that their loyal customers have enjoyed over the years.
