Piggylash by local brand Beachborn is cold-pressed castor oil enriched with vitamin E. Castor oil is said to be a multi-purpose vegetable oil that was extracted from the seeds of the plant Ricinus Communis.
In an article from healthline.com, castor oil was cited to be commonly used as an additive in food, medication, as well as skincare products, among others.
But in the beauty world, castor oil is known and used for its effectiveness in making eyebrows and lashes grow. It has definitely become a beauty trend.
I used to think that I didn’t need to enhance my lashes anymore, but I wanted to see if this product would be effective in lash growth. And to my surprise, in two weeks’ time the very sparse and thin lash strands in the inner corners of my eyes have grown. I noticed that my bottom lashes are longer too. How do you apply Beachborn’s Piggylash?
I first applied castor oil on the evening of August 29 and I have been applying it every night (and sometimes in the morning) every day since then.
I start by gently waving the mascara wand back and forth starting at the base of my lashes to make sure that the oil reaches my lids.
Does it irritate your eyes?
I have dry eyes, but thankfully I didn’t feel any discomfort when I applied castor oil to my lashes. Just make sure you don’t rub your eyes to prevent irritation.

Yes, definitely! Although I still have plenty of product left in the tube.
Was it worth the price?
