Trinidad: Too much earth: Landslides in Itogon and Naga

THE day that “Ompong” (Mankhut) arrived on June 15, 2018 was the day of the dog in this Year of the Dog. There was too much of the earth element on that day, and the tragic events that transpired are so fitting to the character of the Dog Year, exactly as internationally acclaimed Feng Shui Grandmaster Raymond Lo taught us.

Let me quote verbatim from our SunStar article of February 23, 2018, about what to expect in the Year of the Dog: “... if the year of the Rooster’s energy brought fire, this Dog year will bring earth movements. Expect earthquakes, as well as volcanic eruptions, landslides, even cave-ins. The energy of the Dog also relates to roads, subways and the underground. Accidents or mishaps related to these will be more common.”

Landslides. Underground. Mining.

In this same article, we also mentioned that people will be more hardheaded and difficult to talk to.

The news are full of reports of how the police and government officials tried to reason with the miners in Ucab, Itogon, to evacuate the area because of the possible danger they were facing, but they were stubborn and they did not listen.

The miners took refuge in a chapel, which is again an earth element, related to faith.

The event happened in the Rooster Month, where the misfortune star is in the East where typhoon Ompong came from.

It is heartbreaking to read about the events unfolding and the number of fatalities buried in the landslides in Itogon and a few days later, in Naga, which is also mining related.

Early on, we also mentioned in our February 12, 2018 SunStar article about the absence of Noblemen in this Dog Year. Let me again quote from the article: “At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the year of the Dog has too much Earth energy, translating to road related accidents, travel related accidents, earth movements.

The year is not a nobleman year... Of all the 12 animal signs only the Dog and the Dragon are the animals that are not noblemen.

Noblemen are like angels who come to help in times of need.

So to put it simply, accidents that happen throughout the year, will have more casualties.”

And yet again, in our June 15, 2018 SunStar article, we reiterated the need to be vigilant this rainy season. To quote from the article, “Before the start of the Chinese New Year, we mentioned in our interviews, workshops, and at the Baguio Chinese press conference, that this would be a year of earth movements. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and now that the rainy season has started, landlines, rockslides, and mudslides. The year is proving true to itself.”

We still have several months before the year of the Dog ends in February 2019. And, according to Pagasa, we can expect four more typhoons.

Knowing what you know now about the year of the Dog and what too much Earth energy can bring, please be vigilant. If you live in a landslide prone area, evacuate to safer ground before the rains come.

Take the necessary precautions, also when you travel.

Grid your homes against the misfortune star which is in the North for this year, in the East this month until October 7, and will be in the Southeast from October 8 to November 6, 2018.
