WITH its mantra, “Unity is strength...when there is teamwork and collaboration, greater things can be achieved,” Tau Gamma Phi fraternity was founded on Oct. 4, 1968.
It was established to serve the people by helping them excel in their own endeavors and interests.
Despite the challenges the group faced during the Marcos administration, it continued to spread to other colleges and universities, as well as community chapters to teach the triskelion’s way of life to the community.
Tau Gamma Phi then grew from sporadic chapters inside Manila to big and organized councils inside and outside the country.
“Thus, from 1968, to our 50th year, and beyond, the Tau Gamma Phi would stay true in living the tenets and codes of the fraternity for a better and harmonious global environment,” the fraternity’s press release said.
