PFP’s potential Oro council candidates revealed

AN OFFICIAL of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) in Cagayan de Oro City has revealed possible bets for the city council seats, days before the filing of certificate of candidacy for the 2019 midterm polls.

PFP city chairperson and former city councilor Lourdes Candy Darimbang said the party is endorsing former Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Northern Mindanao (LTFRB-10) director Mandangan Darimbang, Lawyer Roy Raagas, and Alvin Calingin,

The party also considered Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Misamis Oriental chapter President Eddie Cuaresma, Eldie Rotoras, brother of slain University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) president Dr. Ricardo Rotoras; and Nars Tan.

"Naay gipang-endorse ang partido nga ipadagan pero initial pa lang ni. Most of them are officials of the party," Darimbang said.

Darimbang said the party is still ironing out the negotiation with the possible candidates for the second district.

She, however, said the list is not yet final as this is subject for agreement with the allied parties in the city, the Padayon Pilipino and Centrist Democratic Party (CDP).

"Pero depende pa ni sa coalition kay kung mauyonan nga 3 ra amo ug 3 pud lugar sa uban allied party depende nana," Darimbang said.

Darimbang earlier said the PFP is endorsing her for the mayoralty post but should the coalition decides to field another candidate, she will opt to seek the second highest post.
