More than P700K in 'shabu' seized

A TOTAL of P723, 500 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) were seized in separate drug bust in Negros Occidental from September 28 to 30.

In Silay City, Paul Dyson Conlu, 22, of Barangay Rizal was arrested at Barangay 2 on Friday, September 28, with a recovery of P480, 000 worth of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, the P11, 000 marked money, and P150 in cash.

Conlu was subjected to a drug bust on August 29 but he managed to escape during the operation. He is under the drugs watch list of Silay City Police Station.

In San Carlos City, Vincent Emmanuel Bacurnay, 31, Joselito Lumbrion, 42, Romeo Barba, 43, Romel Mangasang, 49, and Arthur Lorezo, 41, all residents of Barangay 6; Rodolfo Mansueto Jr., 35, of Canlaon City, Negros Oriental; and Bryan Bocateja, 34, of Barangay Rizal were collared at Barangay 6 on Friday after police seized from them six sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P168, 000, drug paraphernalia, P600 marked money, and P320 in cash.

In Cadiz City, Romuel Supremo, 38, a casual employee of the City Government, and Cliton Santillan, 30, both residents of Barangay Zone 6 were arrested at Barangay Zone 1 last Saturday, September 29.

Police recovered from them five sachets of suspected shabu worth P3, 500, the P500 marked money, a .9mm caliber pistol, magazine loaded with seven live ammunition, and a motorcycle.

In Bacolod City, Jason Fernandez was arrested at Barangay Mansilingan last Saturday after police confiscated from him three sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P70, 000, drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.

In Bago City, Marquez Talag of Barangay Taloc was arrested yesterday after police raided his house at the said village. He yielded two sachets of suspected shabu worth P2, 000, the P600 marked money, and a motorcycle.
