Mamma Addams Metal

IT’S the rainy day season in the country but you could always make up for the gloom indoors.

The worldwide smash hit musical “Mamma Mia!” opened in Manila just this weekend, Sept. 29 to be exact, much to the delight of fans. The musical recently toured the United Kingdom garnering some rave reviews, and is now in the Philippines as part of its stop on its International Tour.

The UK’s Sunday Express described the musical as “the sunniest of all musicals.” “Mamma Mia!” is the result of English musical creator and producer Judy Craymer.

The setting takes audiences to a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father, brings three men from her mother’s romantic past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. Pair a fantastic story with the songs by the world’s most renowned pop group Abba, and one is sure to take in all the warmth through great moments and music.

Tickets are now on sale through Ticketworld.

FANS of heavy rock music in Cebu will be happy to know that some of this country’s established rock acts are in town for a show.

Presented by Escape Artist Productions and Numinous, “Not For The Faint of Heart” will be happening this Saturday, Oct. 6, at Holic Live, Mango Square Mall, Cebu City. The gig features Queso, Typecast, Valley of Chrome and Skychurch from Manila and Cebu’s Nyor and The Philippine Cockroach. I’ve personally seen most of these bands live and enjoyed their sets. If you’re also a fan of some hard-hitting rock music, you will definitely not leave the room disappointed.
