THE Ford Academy of the Arts (FAA) elementary team pulled off a surprising 51-24 upset victory over defending champion Precious International School of Davao (PISD) in the finals of the Davao Association of Private Schools and Administrators (Daprisa) Meet 2018 elementary basketball tournament that came to a close at the PISD basketball gym Sunday, September 30.

The FAA elementary basketball team only joined Daprisa Meet this year.

PISD was 2018 Davao Region Athletic Association (Davraa) gold medalist.

"Wala jud mi nag expect pati ang school kay among plano kay exposure lang sa mga bata para next year (We did not expect this since our entry was only for exposure)," FAA head coach Kenneth Betita, in an interview, said.

But the kids thought differently as they were eager to win each game.

"Gusto gyud nila mudaog (They really want to win)," the head coach added.

Betita also said the team capitalized on their defense, saying: "Our defense is our offense."
