KERT Palces emerged Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) Monthly Finals champion on Sunday, September 30, at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.
Palces, who earned a twice-to-beat advantage after topping the six-game elimination with 1,101 pinfalls, demolished Gab Velasco, 211-184, in the step-the-ladder finals to romp away with the title and P7,000 champion purse.
Velasco, who finished third in the eliminations, beat Uree Uy and Ronald Martin, respectively, to arrange a titular showdown with Palces.
Velasco received P4,000 while Martin and Uy went home with P2,000 and P1,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, Ivan Awid was top qualifier after hitting 680 pinfalls even as Crystal Chavez clinched the highest single titles in both qualifying and final rounds. (ABM)
