Sara Duterte places bet on lotto

DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio joined the most talked about 6/58 UltraLotto game by placing her bet in one of the outlets along Mabini Street, hours after she delivered her State of the City Address (SOCA) on Tuesday, October 2.

In a social media post by Renel Libradilla on Monday, it shows him and the city mayor holding their receipts after placing their bets.

“Feeling winner na ako,” Libradilla said in a chat message to SunStar Davao when asked how it felt when he met the mayor at the lotto outlet, adding that it was really unexpected.

In an Instagram post, Duterte-Carpio jokingly gave a breakdown on how she will use the money should she win the jackpot.

She said P300 million will go to her children -- P100 million for Shark, P100 million for Stingray, and P100 million for Stonefish. She will also allot P100 million for a foundation that campaigns for the rights of a child and abuse prevention.

Duterte-Carpio said P40 million will go to "Jujo", who lend her P2,000 for her to be able to place more bets while P20 million will go to "Myk" who also lend her P4 for additional bet.

She said P30 million will be used for the retirement of "Nonog" so that he can take care of "Ella." Some P150 million will also go to the Presidential Security Group 2Eco. They will get P1 million each to buy a big bike. Her househelps will get P18 million, each will get P1 million. The seller at the lotto outlet will also get a P5-million tip. The other P45 million will be the tip for everybody.

"P121 million, donate nako sa legal fees ni Trillanes (I will donate P121 million to the legal fees of Trillanes)," Duterte-Carpio said on her Instagram post.

The 6/58 lotto jackpot prize has now reached P809,365,820 as announced by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) yesterday. That’s why many people are betting in the hope to win the prize, including the city mayor.

The game has draws every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. In cases where more than one bettor get the winning combination, the jackpot prize would be divided equally among all the winners.

The PCSO also reminded that players allowed should be 18 years old and above.
