THE Negros Occidental High School Alumni Association Inc. (NOHSAAI) is launching a dinner-show featuring hundreds of NOHS talents, spanning several decades, this coming December 6, at SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.

Dubbed “One NOHS!” the show is NOHSAAI’s holiday offerings for the thousands of NOHS alumni who are expected to attend and be entertained by fellow graduates of the oldest high school institution in the country who have made it big in the field of music and arts.

Arnel Lapore, chair of the event, said though the idea seemed pretty daunting and ambitious at first, “the support we got from various batches was enormous that what was initially a small project, became a huge one.”

He added that alumni from batch 60s up to the present are already preparing varied presentations for the show. “The first part will feature singers and musicians who have created a name for themselves in their field and the second part will showcase numbers that were popularized in several decades.”

Lapore said proceeds from the show will be for NOHSAAI’s projects and part of it will be used as initial funds for the construction of the NOHS “Dream Gym” which is expected to cost P60 million.

The multi-purpose gym, which will be designed by architects who graduated from NOHS, is said to be a fulfillment of a dream that has long been wished for by its students.

“With the support of the NOHS alumni as well as our community here, we may be able to realize that gym soon,” Lapore added. (PR)
