A MEMORANDUM of agreement was signed by the City Government of Bago represented by Mayor Nicholas Yulo and Ayala Foundation, Inc. (AFI) represented by senior director Joanna Maria Duarte and president Ruel Maranan at the Ayala Museum in Makati City on September 26, 2018.

Bago City and Ayala Foundation signed a back-to-back MOA on two projects.

The first one was for the implementation of Leadership Communities (LeadCom) Project which trains and empower the youth by helping them design and implement relevant projects that address the problems in the community.

The other one is the Center of Excellence in Public Elementary Education (Centex), a three-year principal and teachers training module, to assist the Department of Education through its Division of Schools in the development of teacher effectiveness.

Under the Centex Training Institute agreement, one public elementary school with 30 teachers and 10 principals in Bago City will be the beneficiaries of the said program.

The total program cost is P3.3 million and the AFI shall provide the 60 percent while the City of Bago will shoulder the remaining counterpart.

Yulo thanked the AFI for the joint venture. (PR)
