Pokwang says ‘Wowowee’ to have new look

ACE comedian Pokwang denied rumors that some hosts will leave ABS-CBN's noontime show “Wowowee.”

During the press conference of her upcoming project “Your Song Presents: Love Me, Love You,” which will start this February 7, Pokwang said only the “Wowowee” studio will have a new look.

“Papalitan yung stage, yung ayos nung studio. Papagandahin yung set-up nung stage. Kaya ngayin nagtataping kami, nagpopondo kami para habang ginagawa yung studio eh magugulat kayo,” she said.

Pokwang added that “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame is only making fun of them when he sometimes mentioned changes in the show.

“Di nya kami kayang iwanan dahil mahal na kami nun eh,” she added.

The comedian meanwhile is hoping that new additions in the afternoon program will be made.

News circulated that Krista Ranillo, who did her comeback performance at Wowowee after the Krista-Manny issue surfaced, and ex-housemate Sam Pinto were among the chosen names to join the show.

“Kung sa ikagaganda naman ng pagbabago eh why not,” Pokwang said when asked to comment on the matter.

Pokwang also cleared issues that "Wowowee" is threatened by "Showtime."

“Hindi naman na te-threaten kasi pareho namang nagra-rate ng maganda and at the same time nagkakatulungan pa nga pero kasi pag dating sa ganyan di namin napaguusapan,” she said.

She added that they are all very happy with the status of the show.

Pokwang is very thankful with all the opportunities coming her way. “The more na binibigyan ako ng trabaho mas nagiging professional ako and thankful din kay Kuya (Willie)." Pokwang said. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
