ONE summer some 33 years ago, a group of like-minded photography enthusiasts got together to join a basic photography workshop. As a result, they decided to unite and form a club popularly known as the Cebu Images Camera Club. Capturing beautiful photos throughout the years, the group is composed of 71 enthusiastic individuals (and still growing steadily) who all share the same passion for the camera.
To formally open their current exhibit, a few welcome remarks were made by Catherine Angeles, Ryan Raymond Yu and Dan Douglas Ong of Images and Edwin Sausa of Epson. Dan also shared: “This, being my final year as the Cebu Images Club president, I’ve been wanting to do an exhibit showcasing our club members’ works featuring God’s beautiful wonders around the world. Plus, it could also give people an idea on where they might want to travel next and what to expect on their journey.”
The ribbon cutting ceremony took place shortly after and was officiated by Carlito Felicen So (Cebu Images Camera Club trustee), Edwin Sausa (Epson Visayas sales group head), Dan Douglas Ong (Cebu Images Camera Club president), Apriel Smith (Binibining Cebu 2017), Ryan Go (F8 Photo) and Bong Dy (Ayala Center Cebu general manager). Cocktails were provided by Laguna Garden Cafe.
Exploring the world through photographs, the Cebu Images Camera Club’s current exhibition features some very incredible top-shots, photos with a variety of strikingly majestic and stunning landscapes with each portrait being a story in itself.
Brought to you by Epson, F8 Photo, Sky and Ayala Center Cebu, this on-going photo exhibit entitled “Destination” inspired by both local and international travels is on show at The Gallery of the Ayala Center Cebu and runs until Oct. 14.
