EIGHT drug suspects were arrested in a police raid of a house allegedly used as a drug den in Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City yesterday afternoon.
Arrested were two men suspected of running the drug den and six others caught sniffing shabu inside the house.
Seized from the suspects were packs of alleged shabu worth P115,600 and tools used in sniffing the drugs.
Leia Albiar, information officer the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7, said they received reports about the illegal activities being held inside the house in Sitio Catwalk.
They placed the house under surveillance for two weeks and conducted the buy-bust at past 3 p.m. yesterday.
The two suspected operators of the drug den were identified as Jaime Geralao and Carlito Jabonillo.
Caught sniffing shabu inside the house were Efrel Casas, Kirt Badayos, Glory Jun Lunop, Felrose Ocampo, Pepe Lunop and Antonio Lopez Jr.
“Somebody dropped by our office to report to us about the drug den, so we placed it under surveillance,” Albiar said.
The neighbors allegedly knew about the operation of the drug den but were scared to tell the police about it.
PDEA 7 thanked those who were brave enough to report illegal activities in their neighborhood. (AYB)
