12 nabbed for 'shabu'

TWELVE persons were arrested for illegal drugs in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental from October 5 to 7.

In San Carlos City, Joseph Pasigay, 41, of Barangay 6, was collared in the said village Sunday, October 7, after he yielded four sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 10 grams worth P120,000, a pouch, and the P1,000 marked money.

In Bacolod City, high-value target and drug surrenderer Roland Teopez, 26, of Barangay Handumanan was arrested after he allegedly sold a shabu to a police agent for P200.

Personnel of Police Station 10 recovered from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, and the P500 marked money.

Still in Bacolod, target subject Ronelo Neri was able to escape from police operatives of Police Station 3 during the operation at Barangay Banago on Saturday but the three others identified as Jovert Declenes, June Glaraga, and Jared Renz Hervias were arrested which resulted to the confiscation of one sachet of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

In Sagay City, Rene Diocson, 54, of Barangay Old Sagay was arrested on the same day at the said village for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Police recovered from him four sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, and the P300 marked money.

Also arrested at Barangay Paraiso, in the said city on October 6 were brothers George Dulce, 32, of Cadiz City, city's top drug personality, and Rodel Dulce, 34, of Sagay City.

Police seized from them two sachets of suspected shabu worth P7,000, and the P500 marked money.

In Escalante City, Sotero Japitana Jr., 42, of Barangay Balintawak was arrested last Saturday for engaging in an illegal drug trade in the said village. He yielded three sachets of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money, and a cellular phone.

In Himamaylan City, Alben Toledo, 27, of Barangay Aguisan was arrested after police raided his house in the same village on the same day.

Police seized from him the P500 marked money, four sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P2,000, drug paraphernalia, and P100 in cash.

On October 5, tricycle driver Jerthel Jumayao, 46, of Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City arrested in the said village after police seized from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, the P1,000 marked money, and a plastic box. He is a newly-identified drug personality.

Also arrested on that day was Julio Calo, 42, of Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana town. He is a casual employee and newly-identified drug personality in the town.
