BEING organized is not an easy task. I have been talking to friends my age where adulting means being more organized with a lot of documents and home things. Luckily for most of us in the Philippines, we have kasambahays to help us. However, an organized maid is also a dime in a dozen. Most often than not, you also have to teach your helper how you want your things organized so they can follow your methods.

The benefits of being organized is not to be taken lightly. First of all, you save a lot of time when you are organized. Secondly, you do not waste money on buying more things because being organized means you know where everything is and if you are running out of certain food in the pantry, or some personal care stuff. Thirdly, being organized is the key to saving yourself so much trouble locating important documents that you have. And in the case of emergency, there is one place where you know you can grab that will contain all of your important documents. Fourthly, being more organized contributes to your efficiency and clarity of the mind to finish the tasks at hand.

In my personal quest in improving my household and my efficiency in most things, I started following these Instagram accounts which I would like to share with you. I assure you, you will definitely learn a thing or two from them:

1) @theneatmethod- Please check out their instagram feed and you will know what I mean. They have the most incredible looking pantry makeovers. I started using a label maker after following their feed.

2) @chelseagthomas- This instagram account is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She got me with the way she organized her snack drawer.

3) @mariekondo- She is the person who asked us that one simple question in whether we should keep, donate or toss items "does it spark joy?" If the item in question does not, either donate, or toss out.

4) @tidilyeverafter- This account is based in the Philippines and she has been helping out people organize their closet, and their house. I like what she does to toys of kids. Check her out!

5) @lifeinjeneral - Do yourself a favor and check out this person who does walk in closets for her clients. You will thank me after.

At the end of the day, you have to do what works for you based on your space, lifestyle and how you use things. Do not be swayed by pictures alone, you have to figure out what is best for the way you use your home or office. Best of luck to your road to organization.
