Samtang nagkaduol ang filing sa Certificate Of Candidacy (COC) karong Otukbre 11 ning tuiga alang sa 2019 midterm elections, nagkainit na usab ang mga pagpangandam sa mga politiko sa nasud.
Ug niana ang tandem ni Mayor Quisumbing ug Vice Mayor Fortuna, makig-alyansa sa regional political party nga Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HNP) nga gipangulohan ni Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte.
Ang HNP nga gipangulohan sa presidential daughter nagsugod lamang ning tuiga.
Apan giklaro ni Voce Mayor Fortuna, magpabilin gihapon sila sa Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) bisan sa pagka alyansa niini sa HNP.
“Yes, kanang Hugpong Ng Pagbabago is just a regional party from the Mayor Sarah Duterte and this is opening alliances,” matod ni Fortuna
Dugang niya, dakong benepisyo kanila ang ma alyansa og dominanteng partido sama sa PDP ug HNP tungod dakong tabang kini sa pagpangampanya nila sa umaabot nga midterm elections.
“Yes definitely, there are always benefits, there is always political advantage if you’re aligned with a national party,” dugang ni Fortuna
“In terms of during the election itself orientation of watchers, if you are with a dominant party, you are qualified to be seen by less returns,” dason ni Fortuna
Gisaysay usab ni Fortuna nga sama sa panagbangga ang political landscape karon sa nasud tungod dili ka-alyado ni Presidente Duterte ang Senate President Tito Sotto ug Speakers of the House Gloria Arroyo, dili sama sa mga miaging administrasyon.
“Right now if you can see the political landscape of the Philippines its like a collision, even the president’s PDP-Laban is still trying to establish prominence,” dugang ni Fortuna
“For the first time in the Philippine History that the speaker of the house, the Snate president do not belong to the president’s party,” dugang niya.
