Oro clubs rule 10th Olles Cup

CAGAYAN de Oro-based football clubs once again proved that the development of the beautiful game in the City of Golden Friendship is moving forward after they dominated the 10th Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School (Olles) Cup football festival held over the weekend at the Del Monte owned Camp Philips football pitches in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

The Oro booters won a total of seven titles of the 13 crowns at stake in the two-day competition organized by the Olles FC, the club active in promoting the beautiful game in the school.

Leading the march of the Oro booters for the titles are Higala FC, Gol FC, Corpus Christi FC, VAV FC, and JRFC.

Higala, the biggest youth football club in the city, won the titles in the Mixed 9 category and the Boys 13 division. Gol FC of businessman Regner Go won the championship trophies in the Boys 15 and Boys 17 divisions.

Corpus Christi won the Boys 12 category title, VAV FC the Boys 18 and JRFC the Women’s Open Division.
