BACOLOD City Mayor Evelio Leonardia said Monday, October 8, they will announce the complete line-up of Grupo Progreso (GP) on October 11.

Leonardia said their line-up for the 2019 elections is already complete from the congressman, mayor, vice mayor and councilors.

He said it’s their dream that their line-up will be strong because they want to come up with a 15-0 victory.

“Our harmony in GP is all time high, we would like to preserve that kind of relationship because, in the end, we believe that the officials of the city are in harmony working together since we already experienced when the mayor and the congressman were not in a good relationship,” he said.

He added that if the city officials are working together, there will be more projects to be implemented and for the fastest growth of the city.

The mayor noted that ever since GP has a written platform of government because they want to oblige themselves to be accountable to the people.

The filing of the certificate of candidacy will start on October 11 to 17.

Meanwhile, Leonardia also respects the decision of Councilor Ricardo Tan not to run for mayor in the 2019 elections.

Tan earlier announced he is not interested in pursuing his political plans.

Tan, a former political ally of GP, said his decision was supported by his family, advisers and political leaders.
