Pacya: October the 13th

IT SEEMS that the thirteenth of this month turns out to be a blessing to a good friend and a group of young leaders.

Congratulations to Murphy Ngaya-an Comila and best wishes to his gorgeous and lovely bride Faustina Gorinto Garcia on their wedding this coming Saturday at Labueg, Kapangan, Benguet. Their Romeo and Juliet love affair will now come to an end as they seal their lifetime contract of becoming a responsible husband and a loving wife. Enjoy your married life and always remember that love is time. There is forever if you provide time to your family and the almighty creator.

However, I am saddened that I will not be witnessing the wedding day of my co-employee as I have an earlier commitment with the young leaders of La Trinidad. I was invited on the same day to talk with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairpersons about Events Organizing and Management.

The goal-oriented and active SK federation president Hon. Apolinario Bagano, Jr. believes that the training is crucial to the achievement of their organizational objectives. The federation has been doing a lot of activities that are addressing the current issues and concerns confronting the sector.

The activity of the SK officials is very timely as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority gave me the opportunity together with two other co-employees in taking the assessment for events management services. After the half-day evaluation process that includes portfolio presentation, written examination and interview, we were able to pass and avail of the National Certificate III on the said area of service. This qualification will certainly contribute to my professional growth in the local government unit.

Talking of thirteenth, you might want to add number 13 in your list when submitting your entry for the Ultra Lotto. I supposed it’s a lucky number for this week and this might be your chance of becoming the next billionaire.
