“JAMBA is actually the daughter of one of our older dogs, Gordon. She’s really funny and acts like she’s a person. She’s super KSP (kulang sa pansin) and is definitely a drama queen. When I come home to see her, she twirls around me, cuddles, cries and whines like those dogs you see in those “Dog Reunites with Owner” viral videos. She also whimpers when you make a whimpering sound and gets really guilty when we scold her for chewing on our shoes—so dramatic. When Jamba was a puppy, we used to let her sleep with us in the room. Eventually, she got too destructive with our things that we had to move her downstairs. I guess we spoiled her too much at first because when we’d wake up and open the door, there she would be—sitting right on our doorstep trying to absorb the coolness of the air conditioning that seeped out of the room. The minute any of us would open the door, she would bolt right in and crawl under the bed in a spot near the AC and fall asleep. She also loves playing with ice.”
What’s the best thing about your pet?
“Jamba is really sweet and wants nothing more than attention and food. I love how she could just lie there with me petting her and fall right to sleep. She’s also really outgoing and loves making friends. I love how soft her fur is!”
What tip can you give people who want to be responsible pet owners?
“Never neglect them. Quality time is always important for a dog—you’re their whole world—so make each moment count.”
