Bacolod starts to construct flower vendor stalls

THE City Government of Bacolod already started the construction of the flower vendor stalls behind the Bacolod Arts and Youth Sports (Bays) Center.

City Administrator John Orola said Tuesday, October 9, the flower vendors are expected to transfer to the designated site within a month.

The flower vendors are occupying 18 stalls at the plaza, and they are giving donations to the Bacolod Diocese, which owns the portion of public plaza occupied by the vendors, at P50 per day.

Orola said the flower vendors already agreed to transfer to the designated site so there will be no problem on it.

“We need their (flower vendors) cooperation so we can rehabilitate and implement the beautification program at public the plaza,” he said.

Once they transferred to the designated site, Orola added that the city will also start to implement the rehabilitation at the public plaza.
