CLARK FREEPORT -- Mayoralty aspirants Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. of Angeles City and Christian Halili of Mabalacat City are the standard bearers of the newly-accredited political party, the Partido Federal Ng Pilipinas (PFP) in next year's polls.
This, after the two officials obtained the certificate of nomination and accreditation (Cona) from PFP officials during a mass oath-taking of the group's members held at Matam Ih restaurant inside the Freeport on Tuesday.
Lazatin, an incumbent councilor in Angeles City, will oppose Vice-Mayor Bryan Nepomuceno and Clark International Airport Corporation president Alex Cauguiran in the city's mayoralty race.
Halili, incumbent vice-mayor of Mabalacat City on the other hand, will run against reelectionist Mayor Crisostomo Garbo.
PFP Central Luzon Director Architect Andy Gualapa said that more than 300 members attended the oath taking.
Lazatin's running mates include Vicky Vega-Cabigting for vice-mayor; Angelo Lopez III, Marino Banola, Rudy Simeon, Arvin Nepomuceno, Aaron Pineda, Angelito Indiongco, Philip Samson, Arvin Suller, Dong Tayag, and Idy Marie Pamintuan for councilor.
Halili on the other hand, was accompanied by his team mates including Noel Castro, Froilan Galang, Eddie Sotto, Amauri Tiglao, Dan Bayani, Jerry Basilio, Timmy Dee, Reynaldo Magsino, who are all eyeing the city council seat.
