FORMER Magalang town mayor Romulo Romy Pecson has gained the certificate of nomination and accreditation from the Partido Federal Ng Pilipinas (PFP).
Pecson, who will run for mayor in next year's elections, took his oath of office as member of newly-accredited PFP during a mass oath taking at Matam Ih restaurant in Clark last Tuesday, October 9.
The PFP standard bearer will oppose incumbent Mayor Malou Lacson who is running under the Governor Lilia Pineda's Kambilan Party.
If given another chance to serve this agricultural municipality, Pecson said he will implement programs which the present town leadership failed to make.
"Of course we will do what they failed to do. We will present our programs when we are already campaigning," he said.
The former mayor said that he was able to implement various programs when he was still the local chief executive with the help of former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
The local government then completed several farm to market roads and bridges and acquired police patrol cars, ambulances, and a fire truck, according to him.
Pecson lost to Lacson by a slim margin during the last elections.
