Albayalde to honor top Cordillera men

AT LEAST 11 individual and seven unit awards will be bestowed to the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) coinciding with the 117th Police Service Anniversary celebration this October 12.

Police Director General Oscar Albayalde together with PRO-COR director Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana and his staff will lead the awarding of individuals to Senior Superintendent Noel Vallo for being this year’s Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for administration. Senior Superintendent Ramil Saculles will be honored the Best Senior PCO for Operations followed by Senior Inspector Marnie Abellanda for Best Junior PCO for Administration and Chief Inspector Benson Macli-ing for Best Junior PCO for Operations.

Senior Police Officer 3 Crizaldy Calpito is this year’s Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) for Administration while Senior Police Officer 3 Marlon Apsong is this year’s Best Senior PNCO for Operations followed by Police Officer 3 Jean Pacia for Best Junior PNCO for Administration and Police Officer 2 Renalyn Layugan for Best Junior PNCO for Operations.

The Best non-uniformed police (NUP) at the supervisory level will be awarded to NUP Amelita Icarangal while the Best NUP in the non-supervisory level will be awarded to NUP Elizabeth Cedo.

Chief Inspector Nicomedes Olarte III will receive this year’s Special Individual Award for Exemplary Achievement/Accomplishment.

Benguet Provincial Police Director Lyndon Mencio will receive the unit award for Best Provincial Police Office of the year followed by La Trinidad Municipal Police Station Chief of Police Benson Macli-ing who will receive the Best Municipal Police Station of the year.

Baguio City Police Office Station 1 Commander Police Chief Inspector Eddie Bagto will receive this year’s Best City Police Station followed by Superintendent Joseph Adornado Santos of the Kalinga Provincial Mobil Force Command who will receive the Best Provincial/City Mobile Force award.

The Best National Operational Support Unit award will be given to Superintendent Caesar Percival Pangda of the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 14 while Superintendent Estrella Umali representing the Regional Health Service will receive this year’s Best National Administrative Support Unit award.

This year’s Best Women and Children’s Desk will be awarded to Flora Municipal Police Station of the Apayao Provincial Police Office represented by Chief Inspector Allan Agwaking, while Senior Inspector Dexter Ao-wac Simon will receive in behalf of the Buguias Municipal Police Station of the Benguet PPO the Best Human Rights Desk of the year.

The Regional Mobil Force Battalion 15 represented by Senior Superintendent Mark Pespes is this year’s Best Police Strategy Management Unit awardee.
