A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was killed by his coeval cousin in what appears to be an accidental shooting incident at Barangay Gumaod, Claveria, Misamis Oriental, Thursday night, October 11.
Police identified the victim as Filmark Reyes who was rushed to the hospital after the incident but did not get there alive.
Initial investigation showed that both minors were about to sleep together with their uncle at the house where they serve as caretakers when the suspect took the loaded caliber 22 air gun and “accidentally” pulled the trigger and hit the victim.
The victim sustained gunshot wound at the forehead and was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The minor suspect was brought to the police's women and children protection desk and will be turned over to the town's social welfare office.
