DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said her brother Sebastian “Baste” Duterte has already made a decision regarding his future plans.
However, whatever that decision may be, Duterte-Carpio said on Friday, October 12, it will be disclosed on Monday, October 15, the same schedule Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) candidates announced to file for certificate of candidacy (COC).
The mayor accompanied her brother, former vice mayor Paolo Duterte, in the filing of his certificate for candidacy (COC) at the Commission on Election (Comelec) Davao on Friday,
Meanwhile, to answer rumors on her possible change of mind for national post at the last hour of filing for candidacy, Duterte-Carpio reiterated her announcement to run for reelection as mayor of Davao City instead.
“Wala na [possibility to change my mind] because I feel that this is where I should be,” she said, adding that she felt that her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, is in need of her support in Davao City and Davao Region as a whole.
Duterte-Carpio also thanked everyone who have shown their trust and support, however, she knew that she need to stay in the city.
“This is where I can help the administration of Duterte,” she said.
