PERSONS Deprived of Liberty (PDL) at the Davao City Female Jail (DCFJ) will hold a product exhibit and bazaar on October 22 to 26, 2018 at the Gaisano Mall of Davao.
"Gusto namo makita sa ubang Dabawenyo na ang kaning mga female PDL sa Davao City Female Jail kay mga talented (We want the Dabawenyos to see that the inmates of Davao City Female Jail are talented)," Jail Inspector Sweety Jel Leonor Roullo, assistant warden of Davao City Female Jail, said in an interview with Sunstar Davao on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
The event is in line with the celebration of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology’s National Correctional Consciousness Week (Nacocow) with the theme "Pagbabago sa Kanlungan ng Piitan ay Tunay na Makakamtan sa Makabagong Pamaraan".
The highlight of the Nacocow will be the Off Road Duathlon which will be headed by Jail Senior Inspector Rovie Ann Noe Alcantara, warden of DCFJ, on October 29, 2018.
The proceeds of the event will be used for the cashless transaction project at the jail, which is aimed at curbing the sale contraband inside the facility.
