Elipe steps down from MOISC

MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano on Monday, October 15, said he has yet to recommend replacement of President “Prexy” Elipe who stepped down as manager of the sports center after President Rodrigo Duterte approved his appointment as new member of the provincial board last week.

Emano said a personnel of the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Complex (MOISC) would serve as officer-in-charge for a week while the board has yet to decide Elipe's replacement.

The board is composed of the Provincial Government, City Government and Department of Education.

Emano said he will have his own recommendation though the City Government could also nominate someone.

The governor refused to disclose the person he would endorse as Elipe's replacement.

He said the replacement might be discussed during the board meeting this month.

"Hopefully naa na next week. Naa tay i-recommend ang city pwede pud mag-recommend and the board will vote (Hopefully we will have replacement next week but it will depend to the board)," Emano said.

Elipe on Monday sits as new Provincial Board member after he took his oath of office last Friday.

He maintained that his graft case before the Sandiganbayan is still on appeal.

The anti-graft court convicted Elipe for graft and falsification of public documents.

"My case is still on appeal. Daghan pa man remedy naa pay Supreme Court," Elipe said.
