Nights of Mardi Gras kicks off

SOME 40 models in fantasy costumes will parade at the plaza Tuesday, October 16 for this year’s Nights of Mardi Gras.

Set on October 16 and 17, Nights of Mardi Gras is a regular MassKara Festival event. It is a fantasy costume competition.

There will be 20 participants per night for two elimination nights on October 16 and 17.

The participants will parade along San Juan and Gonzaga streets.

Judging areas are corner Gonzaga-Gatuslao streets, Diamond Jubilee Tower, and corner San Juan-Gonzaga streets.

Each night, six will be chosen for the grand finals on October 19 at the Bacolod Government Center.

All 40 participants will receive P1, 500 each.

Winners will get P10, 000, P8, 000, P6, 000, P4, 000, and P3, 000 for the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth runners-up.

The sixth to 12th runners-up will get P1, 500 each.
