5 police chiefs in NegOcc relieved

FOUR police chiefs in Negros Occidental were relieved from their posts Monday, October 15.

The order was signed by Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo).

Relieved yesterday were Senior Inspectors Ryan Salazar of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station, Rhojn Darell Nigos of E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station, Jaynick Bermudez of Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station, and Rey Molas of San Enrique Municipal Police Station.

Salazar was moved to Nocppo. He was replaced by Nigos, whose post was assumed by Bermudez.

Bermudez was replaced temporarily by Inspector Herman Ecal, deputy chief of E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station, until Chief Inspector Edfel Balibadlan returns to the province from Davao City.

Molas swapped post with Senior Inspector Reynaldo Severino, deputy chief of Kabankalan City Police Station.

On October 11, another relief order from the Police Regional Office (PRO)–6 in Iloilo City came out, according to Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, public information officer of Nocppo.

The order moved Chief Inspector Rollie Pondevilla of Escalante City Police Station to a new assignment in Nocppo headquarters. He was replaced by Superintendent Necerato Sabando Jr. from the police provincial office.

Superintendent Eleuterio Ricardo Jr. from Nocppo headquarters assumed the post of Chief Inspector Joeffer Cabural in Bago City Police Station, who reassigned to Guimaras Police Provincial Office.

Both Sabando and Ricardo came from the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU).

Cordua said Molas and Salazar were relieved from their posts because they have served their respective towns for more than two years now.

She also said the reshuffling has nothing to do with the midterm elections. (GYM)
