DON’T look now but with Conor McGregor’s butt being handed to him by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, another farce of an exhibition bout featuring the latter against Floyd Mayweather is being proposed.

It all started when Khabib made a casual remark apparently challenging Floyd to a fight, referencing the fact they are both undefeated.

Clearly it was said half jokingly, tongue in cheek, but “Money” was quick to capitalize on the potentially lucrative payday and apparently accepted Khabib’s challenge by posting a screen capture of Khabib’s challenge with the words “Let’s make Las Vegas great again.”

BOXING. Of course it’s supposed to be a boxing match and of course it’s not going to happen.

The McGregor fight was hardly competitive and look for the same to transpire with Khabib.

Sorry, Khabib has good striking skills, in the same neighborhood as McGregor and we all know how that turned out.

CONOR. Speaking of Conor, I’ve been asked what happened to him and how come he was so easily conquered by Khabib.

Well first off, Conor is not a well rounded, multi-dimensional fighter like Khabib. He looked good in knocking out Jose Aldo and Eddie Alvarez because they were smaller fighters who opted to strike with him.

A bigger fighter like Nick Diaz was able to stand and trade with the “Notorious One” on equal terms.

Khabib is about the same natural size as Conor, and also possesses exceptional striking skills and power. But his ground game is where he is at his deadliest and so he had a more complete offensive arsenal coming in compared to Conor.

Khabib did a good job implementing his game-plan. Conor’s only plan was to knock out his opponent.

When that didn’t happen, he had no plan B and so Khabib simply took him to deeper waters where he drowned him.

VERBATIM. “Let’s go Floyd Mayweather. 50-0 vs 27-0, two guys who have never lost. “ -Khabib Nurmagomedov (http://www.reviewjournal.com)

LAST ROUND. It’s on the very prolific Antonio Reina who celebrates his birthday this week. Cheers!
