1st Hyundai Power Solutions expo kicks off in San Fernando

HYUNDAI Asia Resources Inc. (Hari), the official distributor of Hyundai trucks and buses in the Philippines, kicked off on Tuesday, October 16, the Hyundai Power Solutions at the LausGroup Event Centre in the City of San Fernando.

Over 300 guests, composed of Hyundai executives and staff, as well as delegates from the transportation sector and local government, convened to witness the launching of the Korean automaker's first-ever business mobility solutions expo.

Hari President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said the event is the inaugural platform of Hyundai's commercial vehicle (CV) expo that shall set in motion a series of Hyundai business expositions in strategic locations all over the country.

She said that the City of San Fernando was chosen as venue for the North Luzon Leg, as it is considered "the heart of Central Luzon's trade and commerce and the center of three export processing zones namely Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, Subic Bay Freeport and Special Economic Zone, and Bataan Export Processing Zone."

"With strategic proximity to the nation's commercial and political capital, we see major developments in San Fernando. Pampanga's growth story mirrors the ambition of Hyundai's first-ever Business Mobility Solutions expo to contribute to the growth of all the regions of our country," she noted.

She then highlighted that Hyundai is committed to provide support for nationwide efforts to enhance infrastructure and modernize transport through their world-class and innovative yet sustainable CV line-up.

"We are ready to further the growth of commerce in Region III and we are ready to connect sources of products and markets through our environment-friendly and cost-effective commercial vehicles that aim to speed up not just the physical mobility, but also the upward social mobility of the Filipinos," she said.

Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, who served as one of the guests of honor of the event, then lauded Hyundai for its significant endeavors in helping drive the nation's economic progress and mobility.

"Today, you are here to improve and increase business, and I am very thankful for this move. This is actually the battlecry of President Rodrigo Duterte. He always insists that for this country to grow, we must focus on mobility and connectivity. And today Hyundai is saying 'we offer you products that will help you in your mobility.' In other words, with all these initiatives, this activity today and all your efforts outside of this gathering, you are complementing the directions of the government. Again, I wholeheartedly thank you for this," he said.

Laus Group of Companies Chairman and CEO Levy P. Laus, for his part, expressed his support to Hyundai, as one of the automaker's official distributor of new generation trucks and buses in the region.

"The Laus Group of Companies believes in the promising future of Hyundai Trucks and Buses. It is the reason why just last July, we inaugurated the Hyundai Clark Trucks and Buses, which carries the dealership's same brand of mobility and passion in making Filipinos partner in every way, in key regions of the Philippines," he said.

"We are committed in promoting and encouraging customers to invest in Hyundai Trucks and Buses because we are always assured of its quality and dependable vehicles, parts, service, and customer care clients truly deserve," he added.

The Hyundai Power Solutions expo will run until October 18.
